10 Must Have Items for Baby’s First Year.

It is amazing to think about how many toys and items are beneficial for your child. Yes, there are some that are very beneficial for your child’s development, but there are always items that are not worth purchasing. Some babies may prefer a certain type of toy or item. *This post may contain affiliate links*

1. Wubbanub Infant Pacifier. This pacifier is very soothing for your baby, especially when they begin teething. My daughter absolutely loves hers and uses it often. These are such a great idea. Not only does it give them a little stuffed animal to hold onto, but it lets them suck on the soothing pacifier as well and helps keep it in their mouth a little better. As long as your baby likes the soothie brand of pacifier, this is perfect. You can get yours at http://amzn.to/2DDaP6T.

2. Tender Kisses Elephant 3 in 1 Diaper Bag. There are many different pockets on the outside and inside, which would ensure that you can keep the bag organized. There are also two bottle holders on each side of the bag. I love that it has a travel bed that folds up in the bottom pocket. It’s not only convenient when your little one needs a nap, but also if they need a diaper change. I am always changing a diaper out and now I have something I can take out and put her on without fear of germs from a changing table. http://amzn.to/2Dwm6mv

3. Baby Einstein Bendy Ball. This ball has been an amazing learning toy for my daughter, regarding development. It has taught her how to use not only her hands; but, very importantly, her fingers when trying to grasp and lift objects. She absolutely loves this toy and she is so interested in the colors! Definitely recommend! http://amzn.to/2Gnl1iG

4. Boppy Tummy Time Pillow. As you may or may not know, many babies do not like tummy time nowadays. This helps to prop them up on their stomach on the boppy pillow, while also keeping them busy playing with the toys. Perfect for tummy time! It has fun crunchy sounds with velvet texture on one side. You can always add your own toys to it or just set them in front, as the toys on this pillow are removable. You can purchase yours here: http://amzn.to/2GnleSP

5. Baby Einstein Sensory Symphony Activity Jumper. This is very easy to put together! It has a lot of activities for your child to play with. I wish I had gotten it sooner, because she absolutely loves it. http://amzn.to/2En05HW

6.Nuby Ice Gel Teether Keys. My daughter recently started teething more frequently. This product seems to be the only thing that is soothing for her gums while her teeth are coming in. You can put these in the freezer for a bit, then give it to your baby. They are sure to love it too! Interested in this? Get it here: http://amzn.to/2EnTcGr

7. Gerber Birdseye 3-Ply Pre-fold Cloth Diapers. We did not use these for their intended purposes, but as a burp cloth. They are softer and not as rough on the babies skin. I totally recommend it, especially if your baby has sensitive skin. http://amzn.to/2DO9ibb

8. Swaddle Blankets. I definitely recommend these for when baby is going to sleep at night, especially to make sure they stay warm and snug. http://amzn.to/2DMPZPh

9. Graco 4-in-1 High Chair. We use this chair when feeding our daughter baby food. It lasts up until she is a toddler and even when she can use a booster seat. Very beneficial! It has trays and storage in the back, as well. Definitely worth the price. http://amzn.to/2EnA2QL

10. Infantino Grow-with-Me Activity Gym and Ball Pit. Madelyn absolutely loves this for her tummy time. While she is having tummy time, she is able to play with toys. The ball pit will be beneficial for her once she gets a little older and can throw things a little better! You can get yours here, if interested. http://amzn.to/2DKo3M8

Keep in mind, these are my personal opinions; but, I think they may be very helpful for your child’s first year 🙂

XOXO, Jacqueline
